Usually, the keto diet is safe for most people. Although, it is better to consult a doctor before starting a diet, in case you are:

  • suffering from high blood pressure

  • having diabetes

  • having thyroid or liver problems

  • breastfeeding

If none of the conditions listed above applies to you, but you have other health problems that make you doubt that keto is right for you, it is better to get a doctor's confirmation about its safety for you.
